Key Takeaways

• Russia struck a Komyshuvakha school used as a humanitarian aid distribution point with a deliberate double-tap attack, killing at least 26 people including 2 rescuers and 4 police officers — one of the deadliest single strikes on a civilian facility in recent months (39 sources corroborated).
• A major Russian strategic aviation package — at least 7 Tu-95MS and 4 Tu-160 bombers — launched ~20 X-101 cruise missiles toward Ukraine overnight Nov. 2–3, while Shaheds and KABs struck Kharkiv (medical facility, 25 casualties), Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv-area energy infrastructure.
• Ukraine's resumed deep-strike campaign hit the Yaroslavl Slavneft-YANOS refinery overnight — the fifth major Russian oil installation struck in five days — as Zelensky confirmed the resumption of refinery strikes following Russia's continued energy infrastructure attacks.
• US Special Envoy Witkoff announced trilateral Russia-Ukraine-US talks in Abu Dhabi for Nov. 10–11, but Zelensky publicly rejected any territorial concessions decided without Ukraine's participation, and China signaled it will not join the US-led diplomatic framework.
• Ukraine's air raid alert app was hacked on Nov. 1, broadcasting false nuclear and chemical warnings nationwide; Germany and the UK are now seeking alternative Patriot missile sources after the US failed to supply sufficient replenishments.
